Journal of Youth Researches, founded in 2012, is the official open-access, double-blind peer-re-
viewed, international journal of The Republic of Turkey Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Journal of Youth Researches is a scientific journal for the publication of research and studies
covering all aspects of youth and related issues.
The journal’s aim is to facilitate both international and interdisciplinary scientific communicati-
on,to strengthen the links between scientific research and management policy in Turkey, and to
stimulate and enhance the quality of debate.
Representing an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of recent data and expert opinions, it
reflects the importance of a comprehensive approach to resolve the problems of youth in Turkey.
Journal of Youth Researches publishes peer-reviewed research reports on youth, bringing toget-
her research conducted within a variety of disciplines. Articles include theoretical, philosophical,
and political essays; research papers; case reports; and historical research related to all youth
issues. In addition to original research, the journal features articles.
Studies that clearly contribute to the current knowledge of youth issues, social policy are given
priority. Scholarly commentaries on topical issues and systematic reviews are also encouraged.
Journal of Youth Researches publishes its research articles unrestricted with open access as
early as possible after acceptance of a manuscript.
Contributors submitting their work to Journal of Youth Researches (JYR) Journal should
be informed that:
• JYR seeks to publish articles from all areas of youth. Articles should include quantitative,
qualitative research, comprehensive literature reviews, meta- analysis, model proposals and
original writings of similar quality.
• JYR gives priority to current studies using advanced research and statistical methods and
techniques.
• JYR considers original contribution to the field and competency in methodology the main
criterion for publication.
• Authors bear responsibility for the content of the published articles.
• Authors are assumed to have conformed to an ethical code of conduct during research. Ethi-
cal problems that may arise after publication are binding for authors only.
• Published articles are not intellectually binding on JYR.
• Publishing rights of the manuscripts belong to JYR.
• Articles may not be quoted without citing JYR and the author(s).
• JYR publishes manuscripts in Turkish and English.
The manuscripts that have been submitted to JYR are first assessed by the editorial board in
terms of purpose, topic, content, presentation style and mechanics of writing.
As part of the submission process, authors are required to ensure their submission’s
