as behavior disorders, internal and external orientation problems and abuse of the
substance. As a result of these, students drop out their education life and they experi-
ence the school dropout (Steinberg, 2013). Increasing the belonging to school beside
the fact that they carry on a healthy development (Prince and Hadwin, 2013), affect
positively the high school students’ attendance to school, academic achievement and
their learning (Pittman & Richmond, 2007). Herein, the present study can be claimed to
have made an important contribution to the literature because it has revealed findings
related to the factors which should be used to increase the high school students’ be-
longing to school. In conclusion, satisfying the psychological needs of high school stu-
dents is seen to become an important variable to increase their belonging to school.
