When the results of the correlation analysis are studied in order to define the level of the
relationship between the factors that affect voting for a local candidate after the hypot-
hesis tests, the strongest relationship are shown between the characteristics of the can-
didate and his/her party, and the media, communication factors (R=.461, P<.01). In other
words, the voters who care about the candidate’s character and the candidate’s party in
the evaluation of the candidate also consider the media and communication activities at
the same time.
